Online Counselling for Frontline Workers Across the UK

When your job involves caring for, supporting, protecting or leading others, it can be difficult to find the time and space to focus on yourself.

Many frontline workers are used to carrying a great deal of responsibility. Whether you work in the NHS, Armed Forces, police, emergency services, social care, education or another demanding profession, there can be pressure to keep going even when things feel difficult.

Hello, I'm Michelle.

I am an Accredited BACP Counsellor and currently work as a Senior Counsellor within the NHS, supporting staff with their wellbeing. Throughout my career, I have worked alongside people experiencing the emotional impact of demanding roles, workplace pressures, stress, burnout, trauma and significant life challenges.

I understand that asking for support is not always easy. Many of the people I work with are used to being the person others rely on. They often put their own needs last and carry things on their own for far longer than they need to.

Common Reasons People Seek Counselling

People contact me for many different reasons, including:

  • Anxiety and excessive worry

  • Stress and burnout

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Compassion fatigue

  • Low mood and depression

  • Workplace pressures

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Low confidence and self-esteem

  • Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted

Sometimes there is a specific issue that brings someone to counselling. Other times, there is simply a feeling that life has become harder to manage and something needs to change.

My Approach

My approach is primarily Person-Centred, offering a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is going on for you.

I also integrate EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy where appropriate. This allows me to tailor counselling to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Together, we can explore your experiences, make sense of difficult thoughts and feelings, and work towards meaningful change.

Online Counselling Across the UK

Online counselling offers flexibility and accessibility, allowing you to access support from wherever you are in the UK.

For many frontline workers, shift patterns, family commitments and demanding workloads can make attending face-to-face appointments difficult. Online counselling provides a confidential and convenient way to access support without the need to travel.

Whether you are based in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, online counselling can provide a safe space to focus on yourself and your wellbeing.

A Space Where You Don't Have To Be The Strong One

Many people I work with spend their lives supporting others.

Counselling offers a space where you can put some of that down for a while.

A space where you don't need to have all the answers, hold everything together, or carry everything on your own.

If you would like to find out more about online counselling for frontline workers, NHS staff, Armed Forces personnel, veterans, police officers or people working in demanding professions, please get in touch.
